Diabetics at Whataburger

Diabetics need to be a bit cautious while dining at Whataburger. Almost every burger is rich in sodium content and it is highly recommended to keep your burger cravings in control while dining at Whataburger. However, you can always satisfy your cravings for a burger by choosing Whataburger Jr. or other non-burger items from the menu.

High Cholesterol at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for High Cholesterol

Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. Great burger with great service. Food was fresh and the location was super clean smelled like burgers and onion rings!! I had the bbq burger or the summer special . Double party, bbq sauce , slaw , cheese and Bacon!!! Messy and delicious . Well seasoned beef and through it all you still tasted the beef. Onion rings were made to order, crispy and NOT greasy.

Ok This will make you laugh This is the perfect example of new food chains opening up and expanding too fast Flying under the "new" brand name and at the same time having a bunch of retard school graduates working in the so called "customer service" center where you can imagine nobody answers the phone, they just let the automated service pick it up while they browse their Facebook or Instagram pages. Ok I've had maybe 5 or 6 calls from different BURGER FI idiots 'very concerned' about the complaint Want to resolve problems and get to the bottom of this complaint Each call states someone will be getting in touch with me to investigate the issue Then the next call is the exact conversation again and again as if I never recieved a call at all!!! Well done BURGER FI or should I say BURGER FU!! like all other badly run franchises This company will crash and burn soon Another sad story

My first time to BurgerFI. The facility is clean and located across the street from a shopping mall. I ordered a Bacon Cheese Burger with fries, Onion Rings and a Diet Coke. The employees were nice and professional. They gave me a buzzer so when my food was ready it would buzz, light and vibrate. I first went to get my soda. The machine has numerous selections that all come out the same spout, so I guess that why my Diet Coke had a slight taste of Dr. Pepper. The food arrived. My burger was OK. Rather small compared to other upscale burger places. The cheese wasn't melted all the way. The bacon was greasy and it tasted like it had been waiting for me for some time. The bun was the biggest issue. It was soggy from the grease running off the burger. A wet bun is not good. If they had toasted it, it may have survived a little longer, but the bun quality was no better than what I could have bought over at Publix off the shelf. I mean, if your store is named BURGER anything, one would think that the burger would be great, not just so so. The french fries were excellent. Fresh and well cooked. The Onion Rings were a disappointment. Only very wide Onion Rings. WAY too big and greasy. The Concrete deserts were good. Plenty of tables and room. Overall, it's a nice facility and some item were very tasty, but the burger needs some attention to detail.

These people were great with customer service very friendly and helpful. The food was the best Burgerfi I've ate so far. Better than the Hallandale location. Keep up the great work guys!

The place has a nice set up and is very clean. I expected the food to be better it was alright the pictures made it look better. I think it was over priced but it's all natural is what they promote for the food. I rather go to a five guys instead

I had never been to a BurgerFi before but my wife and I decided to check this one out after shopping at the Galleria Mall, on the other side of Sunrise Boulevard. The menu and interior at BurgerFi reminded me a lot of Shake Shack. And, just like Shake Shack, the cashier gives you a gizmo that lights up and vibrates when your order is ready. The music they piped in at BurgerFi - classic rock - was, however, easier on the ears than the pretentious "alternative" nonsense, popular with snotty college kids, that you usually hear at Shake Shacks. I had a double hamburger with lettuce, tomato and ketchup ($5.97), "Sea Salt & Vinegar" fries ($2.77) and a regular "Freestyle" (self-serve fountain) soda ($2.67). My wife had a single burger with lettuce, tomato, grilled onion, jalapeno and hot sauce ($3.97). (The price of every item on the BurgerFi menu seems to end with a lucky seven.) My burger was good but can't say it was great. We both had an issue with our toppings: I couldn't taste (or see, when I lifted up the bun) any ketchup, and my wife couldn't taste any jalapeno or hot sauce (odd things not to be able to taste if they are there). My vinegar fries, however, were fantastic! Being able to get packets of vinegar for your fries at fast food restaurants is one thing I miss about Canada. Although we were only in town for a few days, I liked the fries so much that we came back here a second time.

With these places popping up everywhere the quality control manager must have his hands full. I got the brisket burger. Which was very misleading, there was no brisket in this burger at all. I asked for grilled onions, which they forgot. The burger was well done and there's not much you can do about that because you can't order a burger to a requested level of 'doneness.' I prefer medium rare. On a positive note, the fries were good. Also, I have not had a bad experience at other locations.

I love this place! There are a million burger chains we could go to but this is the best in the area. It's always clean and the employees have always been friendly. Besides the burger and fries, I LOVE the Key Lime Custard! It's their homemade soft serve custard mixed with layers of key like pie. Delicious!

Awesome food and great service!! My favorite thing to get a Oreo chocolate milkshake, cheese burger and cheese fries. Little bit pricy ($5 for a single cheese burger, $6 for cheese fries, $6 for a milkshake) for this type of place but I think it's worth it! They also have a unique tasty burger called the BAD (breakfast all day) burger with eggs on it!

Free wifi. Just ask for the pass code and they will give it to you. The dude in the photo is my sister's boyfriend. He's not from around here. I love Burger Fi. I have been to this location (before yelp) numerous times. I love the double cheeseburger. I tend to get very little toppings because I really want to taste the burger. I get a kick out of them branding the bread with their logo. The fries are quite addictive. I didn't put mayo on them this time because I am trying to be good. Yes, I am that guy with the mayo and the fries. Not a fan of ketchup. This particular Burger Fi has a private parking lot behind their place so it is super convenient to find parking. I also get a kick out of the Soda Dispenser. It is the one with the 180 different flavors. I just feel like kid when I am in there. All these different flavors. The only thing that stops me from doing this a gazillion times is that each soda is 180 calories. Yikes!! This location never seems to be packed. it is airy and near the beach so it has a totally laid back atmosphere. The place is clean and there is plenty of seating.

Went and had a bite with my wife. And it really was some good burgers. We also had an order of fries and onion rings which were ok nothing too exciting there just maybe a lit too much deep fried oil. Their burgers were good I had the 28 which was a brisket burger and it was tasty, but once I got 3/4 of the way done with the burger found it was red a lit under cooked lucky I began with the other side of the burger where I didn't see it till the end cause I would of returned it. My wife's burger was the same way she started from the opposite side and found it red also at the end of the other side, she stopped eating it immediately. Think the best part of the visit was the vanilla shake we ordered that was really good. Now would I come back? not too sure, cause there are a lot of places out there and these lit things make it or break it for me.

"Let's open a shake shack and put our name on it" is the concept here. Right down to the metallic look stores and the green color scheme. I don't like the burgers or the prices, but the hot dogs and shakes add some interest. This location is as disorganized as it was when it opened, which is quite sad.

All natural burgers & fries, good selection of beers. Delicious! A little on the greasy side but way better than five guys or in & out burger

i liked the atmosphere: fun music, people watching.food was just OK... tried regular double burger (i would rate 7out of10) and veggie quanoa burger- "veggie hippie". that was from their fancy secret menu'. All that secret menu is just overpriced BS. better off w regular simple burger. so my veggie burger... i think it had to come w potato bun, but the guy didn't even ask which one I want-just ordered on a plain one. I didn't bother to correct him, it already took like 10min to place the simple order. He had no clue about menu, and differences between "all out burger" vs regular double etc... Veggie patties were mushy mess, nothing that reminds a burger texture. and for 10$ so NOT worth it! 1 out of 10. not going back....

Great burger place, manager was very nice and helpful being that my family and I were from out of town. The Parmesan fries were very good too. I like the burgers because you can put whatever you want on them, but they can be a little bigger. Great spot for lunch.

Today I gave this Burgerfi location a second chance, but only because I have a lot of things to do in the area and didn't want to drive up north. Giving them a second chance has proven to me that the staff could have their stuff together...must have just been the previous crew. Only down fall today was, 3 people behind the registers and only one taking orders, yet a long line?

I used to really like this chain. I am sure at a different location they are still good. I ordered a relatively simple order and there was a ton of staff. However after I only got my to-go order that was sitting in the window ready for about 5 minutes (I could see it) after I asked if it was mine. The food at this location is just okay. All I have to say is this is not the burger fi you are looking for. Go to commercial Boulevard.

Best burgers in South Florida! I had no idea this deliciousness was down the street. The burgers made with grassed beef and with the secret Burger fi sauce are just mouthwatering. I've tried the limp fries too and those are excellent. The staff is friendly, the place is clean and the food plus dessert is delicious!

Okay, thank goodness Burger Fi has a great Chicago Hot Dog. However, why can't I get a nice hot tamale with my Chicago Dog and a nice bag of potato chips? I would have given more stars if I had both of those. I spent my first 40 years in Chicago so I know what I am talking about! If any one else out there feels the same, please say so...just to prove my point, every time I go to Burger Fi, I ask for potato chips and a tamale with my Chicago Dog! Come on Burger Fi make it happen... KontactKellyNow@aol.com

Fun atmosphere, tasty burgers and fries, and friendly faces! We dined here for the first time on a Friday night with our 4 month old son in tow. It is perfect for families, with swarms of kiddoes around! I ordered a regular burger with cheese and a side of the "cry and Fries" which was a serving of fries and a few onion rings. This way we could taste both the fries and the rings. Now I'm a relatively small gal, and very rarely indulge in a burger meal, so no judging when I admit this, but I found their burger to be somewhat small! It had a wonderfully beefy flavor and fresh crisp lettuce on top with a delightful bun, but it almost looked like a larger than normal slider! Good thing the hubby got two parties on his, otherwise he may have still been hungry! In fairness to the burger, I'm not sure if it took a quick dip in a cold pool before we arrived....Alright alright, all "size" jokes aside, the burger was tasty and so were the rings and fries. The next time I'm craving a quick, tasty burger experience where I can easily bring the stroller, I'll run back to the nearest Burger Fi.

I bring my meat loving friends here, and they love it. I always order the veggie burger topped with tons if toppings. No one has ever told me it was bad. On the contrary, everyone has loved it. On top of that the employees are amazing. They are very attentive. This is my happy place. I can't be angry when I'm here. I'll even show up angry, and leave happy. It's just that good.

I have been here several times, close to closing time, and I have consistently had exceptional experiences! The staff is genuinely friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, which seems to be rare in South FL. They made MY BurgerFi experience stand out. The food is DELICIOUS and fresh! The servings are very generous. You have to get the fries with the Parmesan and Herb topping (not sure if that's the official name). I took a Yelp recommendation on the fries and was glad I did. The burgers are wrapped up so they're easier (less messy) to eat. Thumbs up for that. The outside patio is nice to eat in, along with the bar counter facing Publix. It makes people watching fun and convenient. I highly recommend BurgerFi as a cool place to eat with great food. There are quite a few desserts that I have yet to try - I will update my review when I do.

My dad loves hamburgers... it's his thing. He's a man's man. If he could eat a burger a day and drink a beer with it, he would live a happy life; fortunately, he knows he can't do that. With that said, I bribed my dad to fix some things in my place with a burger and beer lunch, he's a simple man, that's all it takes. So, I took him here actually b/c they sent me a free burger coupon in the mail, it's less than a half mile from my house. The set up is quite nice, many tables outside w/ a huge fan, vibrant colors, very nicely done for a 'burger joint' I was very impressed. Our cashier was new, I get that, but even when her manager came over to assist her in our order it still took entirely too long. We wanted a cheeseburger (one wrapped in lettuce, one slice of cheese instead of 2, no burgerfi sauce---trying to be as healthy as possible) and one the same w/ bread. Well the coupon didn't cover this and instead of just comping that $ value we had to switch the whole order around. By the time it was done I got what I wanted and my Dad landed up getting a double burger, no cheese, with bread with extra pickles (which by the way is 3 pickle slices in a clear plastic cup-whoop whoop generous guys). We also shared an order of fries, which was PLENTY, and we left some still. My Dad refused to order a beer b/c a bud light bottle was $4, the burger was like $5.50, he thought that was an outrageous price for a bud light....my Dad also knows his beer. And even though I tried insisting and I was paying, on principle my Dad would not pay $4 for a bud light. So, we got 2 sodas instead. Again my Dad is a simple man, I showed him the new automatic Coke machine they have w/ all the fancy buttons, he was mystified. Good thing I was there, not sure he would've figured that out! Ketchup- IF you've ever read any of my reviews this gets my goat. They had the tiniest stinky PAPER cups for ketchup!!!! But decent sized plastic cups for my extra pickles????? Ugh it was a travesty. If I'm eating fries I'm bathing in ketchup that's all there is to it. Thankfully they had Heinz--I think my odd ketchup things come from my Dad- who's originally from Pittsburgh. Lastly, corporate website: displays approximate calories for burgers but NOT fat grams. AND for a grouping like 'condiments' that has approximately 10 things in the overall category it just says (0 to 120 calories), this is sub par in my opinion. I get it, it's a burger and it's fries, but I can still try to make somewhat healthy choices. Even IN and OUT Burger has a complete breakdown on their site of nutrition, which includes everything (fat, calories, sodium, etc).... Definite room for improvement here.

I know this place is called Burger Fi but my favorite thing to get here is their Texas Chili Cheese Dog! It's so yummy with just the right amount of hot sauce kick if you like spicy food. I also love their onion rings (you will only get a few even if you get a large, but they are HUGE) and their chili cheese fries. Most of the time, the chili on chili cheese fries is sub-par, but I think BurgerFi's is quite tasty and could be a stand alone dish. The short of it: Ambience is good, service is neither good nor bad enough to be notable, and prices are somewhat steep for the amount of food you get.

Drove by this place several times on this most recent visit to Fort Lauderdale. First off, good location and very industrial unique setting. Walking in I noticed a lot of staff hanging around. No one was in line so I was able to walk right up. I stood there for nearly 2 minutes before anyone behind the counter acknowledged me. (Right off minus one star). Placed my order including a medium fountain soda and was surprised to be handed a fairly small cup - maybe 12 ounces but for nearly $3.00 a rip off. Perhaps the price was for the fancy soda machine but they are in everywhere in the northeast and I'm paying for the soda, not the machine. Burger was good though well done. Onion rings were good.

I'm an only child. How is that relevant to writing yelp reviews? Point blank, it's because I'm a big, spoiled girl, and I hate to share. I went to BurgerFi over Easter weekend, prefaced and prepared by my SO's family's rave reviews. I was expecting a Fuddrucker's type of place, and I think that's pretty similar to what this was, like a love child of Fuddrucker's and Five Guys. But it tried to be swankier, what with its Ferrari-made soda fountain. Cool, yes. Necessary, no, especially after hearing how such an expensive drinkmaker affects the markup of all of BurgerFi's products. Anywho back, my only-child-ness. I was told the burgers and shakes were delicious, but huge. Boyfriend asked if I wanted to share a shake, and received fireball-stink-eye in return (I think i want my own shake, thanksss). Oh man, should I have shared. By the time I had devoured a cheeseburger, some of their fries (the manager was so kind and patient, bringing us cajun seasoning on the side since our group couldn't agree on which type of fries to order - they tasted just like Five Guys fries, though), and most, not even all, of my double chocolate shake... I had to waddle out of there. We all waddled. Climbing into the van was a struggle. But it was worth it. And the BurgerFi induced airplane coma (we were not smart and had this feast before a two-hour flight with only limited bathroom access) was the perfect finale. Overall. A delicious meal, but nothing spectacular and slightly overpriced. Food: 4 Drinks (including shake): 4 Service: 5 Value: 3

C'mon guys, don't offer a create your own burger option if you can't train your line-staff to put everything on it as ordered. In my case, it isn't an standard trip to this location without having at least one thing forgotten on my burger. I guess I'm going to have to dissect my burger before I take it home to make sure it is correct. Do I ask for too complicated of a burger? You charge a premium price and what I get in return is mediocre service and product.

The burger I had was bite-size. The crew were rude. I had to order second burger to not walk out of there still hungry. I asked them to cut my second burger in half. They refused. Since when such issimple request such big deal?

  • Dax S.

Great value quinoa veggie burger. The burgers are small but mine was perfect for me, especially since we ordered a half onion rings half fries basket (which was huge!); however, my boyfriend wasn't quite full from his traditional burger. They have a good micro brew beer selection, fountain and Mexican coke, and deserts. The temperature wasn't too cool for us to sit inside, but they also had the doors wide open due to the dropping temperatures. The only thing I was unhappy about is that the burgees were served each in a sleeve on the same tray, would have been nice to have independent plates or baskets.

Its a good burger. The staff is really up on the marketing schtick. They could probably tell you the steer's name. Fries were good. I loved watching the massive ceiling fans. I will say that I hate when a kitchen dictates how I can have my meat cooked. For the price though there's a better wow factor at Royal Pig downtown.

I absolutely loved the high tech industrial glistening stainless looking décor, the overhead fan with blades of near helicopter size, the new digital coke machines, chrome plated log grapples and mock incandescent Edison lights. Someone put some serious money and thought into the place. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the food. I've been to BurgerFi on A1A near Commercial and though I also like the set up and décor there too, was equally as nonplused by the food there too. My meat patty was small, overcooked and tasteless. For a local burger place, Jack's Old Fashioned is, to my taste, a far better tasting burger at a better price and overall better deal. BurgerFi is supposed to be top of the line. I'm sure it is good authentic certified Angus, but to me without a serious, delicious meat flavor and overall rather tasteless. I also had the onion rings which though large and yummy, greasy and senior citizen gallbladder unfriendly.

Nothing bad to say about this place. The burgers are delicious and so are the fries. It is loccated directly across from the Galeria Mall. I just found out from my Yelp friend Yanessa E. That they opened one in Miracle Mile in Coral Gables.

First time here. On vacation in ft lauderdale. Great place for a casual family dinner. We enjoyed eating outside. Cool decor. Excellent fresh food. The vege burger was the best ever. Fries were long and hand cut. Kids and hubby enjoyed their beef burger. Definitely recommend going.

We tend to love burgers as a fun, casual weekend meal so my hubby convinced me to try this locale with friends. Off we went, over the river to this location. I was immediately underwhelmed-- this spot was so commercial: no charm, no "it" factor, no coziness. I am not sure what I expected, but this was not it. After reviewing the menu and remaining unimpressed with my options, I finally ordered.... something. It was some sort of burger that left me with no memory of any of its feature except for the fact that it was a complete waste of calories. The burger was bland, the bun was bland, even the condiments were blah. What a waste of a perfectly good opportunity to have a good meal.

They got my order mixed up with someone else's. I realized too late half way into devouring John's fries. So this will be the last stop at this location. When in doubt, PF Chang it!

Love this place. Green style burgers are the best. One thing that really needs to be addressed is the restrooms. There is always a line bc they at both one hitters. Go before you come! ;)

Went for the hot dog as I was in the mood. Nothing special and it wasn't even cooked as I asked well done. Cold fries added to my displeasure. What else is there to say Uncooked dog cold fries but got my own soda so they Cosby get that wrong at least.

Price does no hold up to the actual food. $24 for two burgers, fries and sodas? If at least they where gourmet burgers, but they were far from it. I guess if we would have added premium toppings (and pay more) perhaps. Beef is not lean, lacked seasoning and as for the size, well... disappointing like a grindr date (the pictures looked much bigger). The burger was average at best. The staff, like the food was bland. The parm fries where really, really bland and cold. I did like the soda machine.

My first experience at a Burgerfi was a great one! However, this visit was not so much. When I ordered a glass of wine, the lady at the counter handed me a small empty glass, and told me to bring it to my table where I was waiting for my food. When the food finally came out, I still had the empty glass, while my boyfriend had a full beer. I asked myself, did I just purchase a glass of air? After about ten minutes of waiting and almost finishing my meal, she came out with the bottle of wine and filled my glass at the table. I find it a little odd that she didn't fill my glass when I was at the counter ordering it, since that's what they did when my boyfriend ordered a beer with his meal. Overall, the whole service felt awkward and unprepared. Also, I was bummed that my veggie burger tasted overly salty.

Found a long black hair in my burger (my hair is blonde) , manager brought me new burger and a coupon for a free regular fry (with purchase of burger and drink). The manager also said he verified everyone in the back was wearing a hat. Of the 4 people I could see in the back only one actually had a hat on. Really dude? You can see right in the back from most of the restaurant. Never offered to refund anything, if I could give less than one star I would have.

Burger was good but not great...over cooked and dried out. The 'green' idea is a healthy tasty idea in lieu of the soggy hamburger bun, besides I like lettuce

Was very happy to find a grass-fed burger on lettuce in Fort Lauderdale, and it was delicious. I did, however, knock off one star because I believe that for $10 I should be able to specify the temperature of my burger rather than get three skinny well done burgers a la McDonalds.

Best veggie burger in Broward County? I puncuate that with a question mark since I don't have much to compare it to, but I'm still confident that no other veggie burger will surpass its deliciousness. People seem to compare this place to Shake Shack since their franchises and food offerings are similar, but this V-Burger is like the star quarterback compared to SS's assistant towel boy in training. The Shack's vegetarian burger should be called lack-of-veggies burger since it's mostly cheese swaddling a single slice of portobello mushroom. But I digress. The music and decor here are on par with an foodster (foodie + hipster) vintage-yet-modern diner and they have those cool new Coke fountain machines where you can mix more artificial flavors than you ever thought possible as a kid. Service was amiable but the menu board was abominable and the typeface used for the majority of the copy (design geek) was difficult to read so I opted for the tri-fold paper menu. Psst... Don't tell anyone that the 'secret menu' is on the back. Oops, guess I just revealed the secret that's not really a secret if you print it en masse on your menus. :P BOTTOM LINE: Eating a VegeFi burger should be on your bucket list.

This BurgerFi is literally a 30 second walk from my office. My co-workers and I go here often. It's honestly one of the best burgers I've ever had...in life. (Double BurgerFi Cheeseburger, green style, add bacon, fried egg and grilled onions - UMPHHHH!) That's the good. The bad: The employees seem to be in a complete daze anytime before about 2pm. If I go get lunch at noon I can pretty much guarantee that my order will be wrong. I order green style, I get a bun. I order bacon and egg, I get no bacon and raw onions. I don't order fries, I get fries. This has happened every time I've gone. Different cashiers almost every time. I don't get it. I can tell they are listening to me and punching things into the register but I never get what I order. I got a burger today and as usual, my order was wrong. Luckily I caught it before I left. The cashier seemed new so I didn't get as annoyed. They're all very nice and they greet you when you walk in but the order taking needs a LOT of work. Bottom line...I will never NOT go to this BurgerFi. It's convenient and clean and has great outdoor seating and it's super close to work. But I will ALWAYS check my bag before I leave.

Nearly $15 for an adequate burger, great onion rings, and a very unique touchscreen Coke mixing and dispensing fountain. Outdoor patio is large and faces the mall. Service was excellent. Just expensive for what you get. Oh, and the floors were sticky from the front door to the bathroom... Gross!

For fast casual hamburger joint this place is better one. I actually like the decor of this place. For two people dining here with burger, fries, and drinks can set you for $30.00. A little bit in the higher side for lunch. There are so many fast casual dining options in the area that has slightly lower price point.

I recently went to one of the many locations of Burgerfi. Bottom line...great burgers, awesome soda machine. I also love how they have the option of protein style so you can skip the bun and pretend your being healthy, when in fact you are still consuming a million calories. I also tried a red velvet milk shake..which was super sweet, sugary, and awesome. I would highly recommend this place. In comparison to other burger joints, I would say...better than 5 guys, equal to shake shack. Enjoy fellow fattys!

My wife and I recently went to Burgerfi on Sunrise Blvd we both had the burgers, and a Chicago dog. We also tried a red velvet milk shake out of this world :) great covered outdoor seating and free wifi. You must try them out."

This place is really great. You can pretty much order anything you want on your burger. I ordered my usual Swiss cheese burger with sauteed mushrooms and mayo, with a side of onion rings. The onion rings in size are quite impressive but I am not a fan of the batter they use. I feel it over powers the taste of the onion itself, but when you look around you can see that their onion rings are a fan favorite. Now lets get to the burger. Unless your order yours with a lot of toppings it is not a large burger. I think a lot of gentlemen could easily leave hungry but it was a good portion for me. The burger was juicy and had great flavor, the mushrooms were simply sauteed and not seasoned which I prefer over Shula Burgers overabundance of rosemary (sorry Shula). I also felt like these burgers were less greasy than other vendors which I appreciated because it speaks volumes about their quality of meat. I think its cute that they brand the bun! The bonus to this burger joint is that they also serve frozen custard. If you are not familiar with frozen custard just know it is heavenly. When made they include the yolks to the eggs which gives it a much thicker consistency. So, not being able to resist I ordered a vanilla shake which was fantastic! Overall I would have to say Burgerfi is a great place. The service is impeccable! How often does someone ask you at your table if you need more ketchup or napkins after you have ordered and stated eating?? The restaurant is clean and casual and right across the street from the mall. My advise; skip the mall food court and head over to Burgerfi!!

  • Jay K.

I don't give five stars very often, but BurgerFi has it going on! They grind their burger meat, they hand cut the onion rings and fries. You can taste the freshness in the food. You might think the burgers are small, but after finishing off the cheeseburger and half an order of fries, I could barely finish my Dog Fish Head 60 Minute IPA. The staff are well trained and knowledgable about the food, super friendly and there to make sure you have a great experience. Where else can you get a branded burger bun!

I visited Burgerfi after leaving the Galleria Mall, the restaurant is beautiful, industrial decor accompanied by a super clean feel. I placed my order (Single Classic cheese with Fries) and received a pager. I sat down at the enormous picture window facing east and saw a swarm of birds attacking an older gentlemen in the parking lot. I laughed a lot harder than i should have. My pager went off after about 6 minutes, I got onion rings, I thought I ordered fries?! Oh well I'm hungry. Burger was cooked very well and the rings were very crispy, but super salty. The burger was tiny (maybe the same size of a McDonald's cheeseburger) the lettuce was wilted and the slice of tomato was very, very soggy (sad face) the burger was cooked well and the bun was soft and toasted. I ate my food and was not impressed at all, I paid about $9 for what I feel was a fast food chain restaurant combo meal....minus the drink. I'll try it again before I write Burgerfi off, maybe I just caught them on a very bad day.

Having just moved to South Florida, I was unfamiliar with the Burger Fi brand. I walked in expecting something closer to In N Out or Five Guys, but I found it's most comparable to Shake Shack, with a few twists that make it a little better. The burgers are cooked well, and the menu gives you myriad options on how to prepare it. Add to that the hot dogs, craft beers, and parmesan-garlic fries, and I was impressed. Quality food, with a higher price to match it. Don't miss the Secret Menu. (oops)

I was pretty underwhelmed when my husband and I visited BurgerFi this week for the first time. Full disclosure: we moved here a few years ago from NYC and are total Shake Shack devotees. I tried to go into this meal with an open mind and the restaurant is certainly nice - brand new and clean. I was also excited that it had one of those fancy soda dispensers which has about 50 different varieties. My burger was fine. I customized a single burger with white cheddar cheese, mushrooms, onions and ketchup and it came branded with the BurgerFi logo on it. Do I think that the amount of mushrooms and cheese justified and extra $1 for each? Absolutely not. My burger did not have the secret sauce (aka Shack sauce) on it, but my husband's did and he said it was pretty close. The big disappointment came from the fries. They were completely overdone and dry. Even the parmesan cheese on top couldn't save them. Shake Shake has really nice crinkle cut fries and these weren't even close. If you want something that tastes like Shake Shack, just make the drive to Lincoln Road and have the real thing!

I love me some BurgerFi (also known as "Burger Belly", I'll explain why later in the review). BurgerFi is one of the many burger joints that have gone viral and spread all over South Florida (and the nation) in the last few years. BurgerFi has some tough competition, but has been a surprising stand out from all the fried meat competition in the area. A friend of mine from work introduced me to BurgerFi recently claiming that she went there 5 times in one week. Intrigued, I knew I had to see what the hubbub was about. BurgerFi offers up natural, grass fed burger creations - everything from the traditional burger with tomato, lettuce and onion to the B.A.D. (Breakfast All Day) burger that has cheese, egg, bacon, hash brown with a dash of syrup on it. My favorite is the VegeFi Burger which is quinoa and diced veggies fried up on the grill with white cheddar, tomato, lettuce and BurgerFi sauce (which is kind of like Thousand Island dressing). The fries are to die for. You can order them underdone (not sure why you would but I guess there are some weirdos out there ;) who like raw fries?) or you can ask for extra crispy. They also offer fry toppings like parmesan cheese and herbs, Cajun seasoning, chili and cheese. If you are feeling creative, you can build your own burger by selecting from a long list of topping like garlic mayo, jalapeno peppers, grilled mushrooms, organic ketchup. I tried the Chicago dog and it's deliciously authentic. Every time I come here, I am always torn between the dog, the burger or the veggie option. I never have room to order one of the frozen custards or frozen "concrete" (similar to a DQ blizzard without using soft serve). Other items worth that are available and worth a mention are, Mexican Coke and Fanta in a bottle (made with real sugar), craft beer, wine, and red velvet cupcakes. Did I mention the Coca-Cola Freestyle Machines? I hear a lot of people compare this place to Shake Shake, but BurgerFi is the clear winner for me. My record number of visits in one week is 4 - yes FOUR - which is why my coworkers and I have nicknamed this place "Burger Belly". You'll eat here so much, you'll probably end up with a belly full of burger. Be careful!

This place falls somewhere between a fast food joint like McDonalds and a sit down place like Chili's. You place your order at the counter and they give you a wireless communicator that will light up when your order is ready. The burgers are very good and come with your choice of condiments. It was my first time here, and I asked for everything on my burger. The cashier came off sounding rude when he told me that I shouldn't order it with everything. He was right, but he could have been a little helpful with me. I finally understood that a Burgerfi cheeseburger is different than ordering a cheeseburger. A cheeseburger is a cheeseburger patty and the bun. The Burgerfi cheeseburger comes with lettuce, tomato, etc.A Burgerfi cheeseburger, fries and coke will set you back about $12

Great burger and dog place. You can get everything from sodas and shakes to draft beer and wine. Perfect fries and onion rings. If you don't like this place take the stick out of your ___!

I'm disappointed that all of the reviews are so negative. I don't know what people re expecting?! This place is a larger, cleaner, more Floridian version of new York's Shake Shake compete with custards of the week and all. The burger is small, as good things should be, the fries are delicious with their perfectly crisp skin attached, and the service was pretty quick. I'll certainly be back and challenge any of the negatrons to a duel!

My husband and I both got the "Breakfast Burger" and we both were in agreement that is was "Good" not "Great". Being from Texas we've experienced much better. But if you're just looking for a burger and fries it's worth the stop but they are kind of pricey.

I am so glad they opened this Burger Fi by my house across from the Galleria Mall. I love the service here. You are handed a buzzer and when it buzzes then your food is up. But at this Burger Fi instead of you going to the counter to pick up your food, the staff brings the food to you which doesn't go unnoticed. Great service here! The food is great as well. The Chicago dog is THE BEST! And do yourself a favor and get the Cajun fries. AMAZING! This is an in and out place so if your looking for good quick lunch this is your spot.

The burger was just ok and seemed pretty standard. The onion rings were pretty bad, the latter being just a fried piece of onion skin (for all three large rings!!).

I enjoyed this location way better than the one on Commercial and Ocean!! It was clean, the staff was friendly, and the food was hot!! They have a super fun digital soda machine at this one that will totally be a hit with kids!! O! And the bathrooms at this one are super clean unlike the pig pen they call a bathroom at the other location!!

I won't say this place is better than Five Guys, but because it is close enough it is good enough for me. Five Guys is king of burgers but his place has fries as good or better! I love the Coke Freestyle machine they have too!

Tried this place out last night. I can say the burgers were pretty good and I agree with a prior Yelp review where the fries were quite tasty! The decor was trendy and staff were inviting. I will probably make a habit of late night stops when in Fort Lauderdale.

We were really disappointed. Tiny burger patties for the price. 3 drinks were $8. Onion rings were huge, greasy, acquired taste. Again, for all the hype we had heard, and the premium price we paid, we were just plain disappointed.

Yum! Excellent burgers, fast service. The staff makes an impressive effort to remember people's name and brings the food out to the tables if they can so you don't have to go get it. I love their fries, but plan to split an order of fries because the orders are huge!

Just open a yelp account to let everyone know how overrated is this place . Place was freezing & empty but took them a while before asking for our order. After ordering it took ten minutes to bring our order to the table (come on, for burgers!). Burgers are small and not memorable. To top it all expensive ($9+ per burger).

  • Brandon R.

Very happy with this place. Awesome atmosphere, friendly service and really good burgers. I had a single pattie (and I'm happy that it's not too big. If you want more meat order two or three patties) with hickory smoked bacon, blue cheese, grilled onions and grilled mushrooms, ketchup and hot sauce. Mmmmm. It was yummy. My wife had the veggie burger "go green" style, where they replace the bun with thick pieces of iceberg lettuce. She said she really liked it. She wants to try the bun version too because our friend ordered it and it was a dark colored bun with what looked like pieces of oat cooked into the top bun. The fries were great. We wanted to sit outside and were pleasantly surprised that the road noise from Sunrise isn't loud. We are very happy to have had them move in so close to home! I read the other reviews and think it must have been bad luck, cuz our food was really good.

Stopped by this place and was very disappointed! The only thing I liked was the Onion Rings and the fact that they weren't very greasy. I ordered the classic cheeseburger with special sauce. ( Ok, Where's the special sauce?) The burger was bland! The only thing I can say good is, It's not greasy! But there was no flavor at all! My husband got the burger with the blue cheese inside, (hardly a smidgen of blue cheese.) He was also complaining the special sauce was missing and it was bland.) We also tried the Custard in chocolate flavor in a cone! But received a cup, No big deal but????(Not wow either!) Needless to say, We won't be killing ourselves to get to Burgerfi!

I usually go to the burgerfi on commercial, but I discovered this newer location closer to me.What I do not understand is, the place is really nice, real cool inside and large. But when i went there , there were only a few people there.I had went up to order, and all I ordered was one large french fries. It took them about 10 minutes to get my order, even though no one was in front of me and there were no other orders to do.There was a girl behind the register who had said " solo fries to go" .. " where is the solo fries to go" about 3 times. I saw the cooks laughing and playing with eachother I kid you not. Then one dude who was on or behind the register did this loud uncoothe belch, and all the workers were laughing, until finally they brought me my fries.I have never experienced anything like this at any fast food place, especially this one, they are suppose to be above the rest. The fries kind of upset my stomach.I guess I am just going to have to go to the commercial blvd location, such a shame.

Small .. Very small burger. . Not worth the price. High hopes .. Place looked clean interesting concept . Failed at execution. Best part were the fries. Order came out wrong. No onions and forgot bottle of water. Like mcDonalds with a theme and beer served.

Some friends and I went on 6/11 after seeing a movie nearby. We placed a large order. When our food came, the order was wrong. I asked the cashier which burger was meat since the others were veggie. He seemed to not know. Also all burger had cheese on them when I specifically said no cheese on mine. They fixed my burger. My friends and I started to eat. My onion rings were delicious and so was our beer. I take a couple of bites into my burger and I realize that it was one of the veggie burgers. I go back up to the cashier. I explained to the manager that the cashier had mixed up the burgers. He tells me that it was our mix up and that he can not replace it!!!! I am beyond pissed. We spent almost $60 on 4 burgers, sides, drinks and a bottle of beer. I explained that his cashier had given me the wrong burger and that they should have actually replaced two burgers but my friend went ahead and ate his groundbeef burger. He said I could pay for another burger and that it was not their mix up. I asked for the owners info. I will never eat there. Update: After speaking with the owner via phone, he apologized for my experience. He was very apologetic and offered me and my friends to return and give them another shot...his treat. Unfortunately my friends declined. I decided to give them another chance. This time my experience was pleasant and my food was correct. I still think they need a better system for group orders to help designate burgers or maybe place each meal on its on tray instead of just piling everything up with no way to see which burger is which. Even the employees seem to get confused with this current system.

Best low cal burger and onion rings I had! This is the place to be, various selections of food-burgers, dogs, dessert, cool soda dispenser, very modern fastfood restaurant, nice people. You just can't go here if you have a PEANUT allergy. They cook all their foods in peanut oil!

Tried this place today, expecting a nice, juicy burger to cut the hangover edge. We went for the single burgers since we assumed the standard doubles would be way too much. Think again! The burger was small, overcooked (after the guy at the register assured us the burgers generally come out medium and these were well well done) and tasteless. I think I would have like McDonald's more. Total disappointment.

For those Browardites that have Shake Shack envy, the answer might be BurgerFi, but not quite. It's a little place with high aspirations that comes short of food bliss. After the wonderful Moonrise Kingdom at The Classic Gateway Theater, we got a hankering for a hot dog. Naturally, I turned to Yelp and it pointed out this joint, right across from the Galleria. Very convenient. We ordered two hot dogs (a NY style kobe and a Chicago style dog), fries, and a drink. $15. Not bad. Promptly prepared and ready for pickup, we sat down to enjoy these great looking dogs. reach out to grab one....splat. The buns were overly soggy. The taste was there but the texture was a bit off-putting. The NY dog was much better....something about its simplicity that was much better than the condiment overload of the windy city style. Allright, we can deal with the soggy bottom boys, but what about the fries? Soggy too! Meh... Again, not complaining about the taste...but man they were just too sog-tastic. Sorry BurgerFi, I know you're on a mission to take over the burger-verse, but I felt the execution was a little poor.

This place has good burgers! It's a very limited menu, but they do what they do very well. I've eaten there several times and especially like the veggie burger that is crunchy and substantive, unlike the gooey mush some places pass off as a veggie patty. The beef burgers are hand patted. To avoid the carbs in the bun, order it 'green style' and it is served between two crisp pieces of lettuce in lieu of the bread. Makes you feel you're being healthy - especially if you order a side of fries!

Best burger joint in town! Seriously, their burgers are delicious and the fries with Parmesan Cheese & Herbs were amazing! I'd like to go back just to try their other variation of fry options - salt & vinegar? hot cajun spice?! OmiGosh, I will definitely be back soon!

Yum yum yum. So glad I found this gem in Ft Lauderdale, I've been the one in Delray and didn't even know there is one ten min away from my house. Driving by sunrise and looking to grab a quick bite my wife and I decided to stop by Burger Fi. I got the all day breakfast burger and my wife got the chicken mango dog. I am not a big fan of mango but let me tell you something this hot dog is to die for. The breakfast burger is pretty much everything you want in a burger delicious juice meet fry egg hash brown bacon yumm and caramelize onions. We also order a side of onion rings with the cheese sauce. The have a soda machine with like 200 different soda flavors, ok they are not 200, but they are a lot. We are not really big in come or those kind of drinks but they also offer tonic waters and powerade which for 2.75 is not a bad deal. They also have craft beers mostly the most commercial ones but they still have a pretty decent selection; although I think six box for a snapshot(if you are a craft beer drinker you know what I am talking about) is kinda expensive. Good place, family friendly I highly recommend it
